DX vs The NAK

Dream match is a term thrown about haphazardly in wrestling, but in the case of DX vs the NAK it's more than fitting. You'd imagine the only two people who maybe aren't fully aware of how big a match this is will be two of the participants. Billy Gunn and X-Pac might not know much about The NAK right now, but you better believe they'll be more than aware of what they're capable of by the time this one's done a dusted. While they might have buried the hatchet with PWE owner Adrian Mccallum and the new less destructive attitude they've adopted got them this opportunity in the first place, now they have it all bets are off. If DX were expecting to come here, have an easy couple of nights, sell a tonne of merch and go home happy they clearly don't know who they're dealing with. Two of the most dangerous men in Scottish wrestling and two of the most dangerous men in Scotland full stop. Guys you don't want to mess with in any way, shape or form. They might have toned down the anarchy slightly, but that's what they do best and if its called for, anarchy will be brought to the group who arguably introduced it to the wrestling world during the attitude era.

When you think about it, its a match that makes a ridiculous amount of sense. Both groups made names for themselves by changing the way people see wrestling in their respective countries. Cultivating almost cult like followings in the process. Aside from a couple of PG reboots with Triple H and Shawn Michaels, we haven't seen proper DX tear it up in WWE for the best part of 15 years, but anytime they combine for nostalgia purposes the crowd reacts almost like they never left. The memories they gave us will never fade. If The NAK were to hang up the auld stomping boots, it wouldn't stop their loyalest fans throwing up the N and remembering why they connected with the group in the first place. They connected because human beings have been programmed to follow rules and do as their told in most aspects of life, yet both of these groups completely disregard any notion of that in favour of anarchy. Which makes this one of the more intriguing match-ups we've ever seein in Scotland.

The war has already begun, as Billy Gunn was part of a Q n A hosted by Grado during a recent visit to Scotland with SWA, The NAK decided to gatecrash it and let the Mr Ass know what him and X-Pac were getting themselves into. Even if DX are heroes to the NAK, for one night any admiration will be non existent. The chances of this match-up ever occurring again are slim so its a once in a lifetime chance to make an impression on two of the most important men in WWE's victory of WCW in the Monday night wars and one Chris Renfrew and BT Gunn will not be slow in taking as they look to celebrate PWE's 5 Year Anniversary by having not only the most memorable match of the weekend, but perhaps one of the most memorable in Scottish Wrestling history.
